The Pretty Monster ride was one of the "flat rides" that opened with the Enchanted Forest in 1974, and like many of the others it was designed for ease of assembly as part of a fair. When the Pretty Monster arrived at Great Adventure it came with its own trailer specifically designed to hold all of the ride's parts safely for transportation.
In early spring, while the rest of the park was still a dusty construction site, the Pretty Monster was fully assembled and ready for the arrival of guests.
	The colorful ride was designed to catch the eye day or night with its bright floral designs and array of lights. Even the posts that supported the decorative iron railings featured elaborate lights. Each piece was designed to fit together like a puzzle.
	While construction workers were busy building and paving all around it, the Pretty Monster was all set for the July 1st opening day.
