The seventh season of Fright Fest further expanded and grew with crowds getting bigger and bigger as well as more and more elaborate props and decorations. Many shows and attractions returned from the previous year, some with new twists and changes to keep them fresh. New for the 1998 season was Elvira's Superstition, a 3-D simulator ride that took over the Right Stuff theater. The fun and humorous film would return for many seasons after bringing the Queen of Halloween's simulated "scream park" to Great Adventure.
