The 2006 Fright Fest was a slightly more subdued event than the previous few years. Earlier that year new management had taken over Six Flags and the new regime really put a focus on "family" events and attractions, trying to get away from the teen focus of the past. As part of that focus, park security was beefed up with a zero tolerance policy for line cutting and unruly behavior which had marred some of the previous Fright Fest nights. Some of the huge slate of entertainment from the previous year was cut, but overall Fright Fest continued on a similar trajectory from previous seasons. This season was also the first that the event kicked off at the end of September. |
