Tuesday - July 7th, 2015 After a preview this past weekend, Batman The Ride Backwards was officially introduced to the media and VIPs at the park today.  Following some introductions by key park personnel and New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, the ride was launched with the help of Batman and Robin and an inaugural train load of American Coaster Enthusiasts.  The Ride backwards will be in operation at Great Adventure this season only until Labor Day, September 7th.  Enjoy these photos from around the park on a hot and humid summer afternoon.

Fort Independence demolition work should begin soon.  By the placement of the fence it seems that they may begin by removing the outer walls so that all the filtration and pump apparatus can be removed from under the bleachers.
Great Lake Grandstand hosted its last fireworks this past weekend.
