It is not every day that you get an opportunity to take a winter tour of
Great Adventure so rainy and foggy weather, while not ideal, didn't put
a damper on our auto journey through the park. Luckily, just as we
set out on our adventure the rain stopped and after weeks of freezing
temperatures, 41o seemed summer-like. Here are some
photos of our trip.

Zumanjaro photos coming soon.
Extra structural supports have been added to the back of Kingda Ka's
tower to carry the weight of all the equipment and added forces from the
operation of the Zumanjaro drop towers. |
While it has been a terrible winter weather-wise for construction the
ride is pretty much on schedule. However, the need to pour a couple of
additional footers is quickly approaching on the construction timeline. |

We entered the snow-covered park from the access road behind the

While it was obvious Rolling Thunder was gone, the area didn't seem as
vacant as I had imagined it would be. |

Rolling Thunder's entrance and exit are still intact along with the
queue bars from both sides of the coaster. |

It is hard to believe that this is the same place where it can be over
100 with 95% humidity in the summer! |
