After the buildings of the Garden of Marvels left Great Adventure, they
made their way north to Washington Township, Warren County, New Jersey.
They became part of an indoor display called the Miniature Kingdom, which
charged admission to visit the miniature world.

The Miniature Kingdom
displayed all of the buildings and models that had been part of the
Garden of Marvels though in a much more compact area with less space
between the structures. Like the setup in the Garden of Marvels, the
Miniature Kingdom featured working trains that ran through the layout.
Unlike the outdoor setting of the Garden of Marvels, the Miniature
Kingdom had the advantage of being protected from the weather and being
able to stay open all year. |

Between the rather rural location of the
Miniature Kingdom and the limited appeal of such an attraction, it
remained open from 1983-1985. The Miniature Kingdom closed after the
death of the model's creator, Arthur Thuijs. The whereabouts of the
models after the attraction's closure is currently unknown. |
