& Notes: Splashwater Falls, an O.D. Hopkins
Shoot-the-Chutes ride made its debut in Spring of 1987. Six
Flags introduced several Splashwater Falls rides the same season at parks
nationwide, with a great ad campaign using the song "Splish
Splash" for a jingle. The season was marred by several
incidents Easter Sunday, which resulted in the park introducing metal
detectors at the front gate, along with other increased security
measures. |
