EVENTS & PICNIC AREA

A remote undeveloped portion of the Safari Exploration Station served as an all purpose area to be used for special events and parties.  Located behind the restrooms building, a handful of picnic tables allowed guests to sit, relax, and have a snack after their exciting Safari adventure and before forging ahead with their attempts at tackling the theme park.  The Safari's Animal Adventure Camp program also called this area home.  Here children could participate in games, crafts, and educational activities as part of their hands-on safari experience.  Over the seasons, classroom trailers were also brought in and temporarily positioned here to afford the junior camp explorers some air-conditioned breaks from the summer's extreme heat.
