While most of the buildings in the Safari Hospitality Center were meant
to complement the Drive Thru Safari, the Guest Relations building was
primarily constructed because of it. Guest Relations was a
very busy place during the Safari's earliest days as it became the
target of guests who suffered damage to their cars from animals which in
later seasons were fenced off. Vinyl roof eating baboons and
antennae bending bears kept Guest Relations hopping.
While not calming angered visitors, the Guest Relations office also
offered all the services and ticketing sales option of the main gate but
typically with a shorter line than that of its theme park counterpart. |
