The Safari Hospitality Center featured its own parking facility.
From 1978 to 1992 the park's original highway Lion Sign was positioned
in its center and served as a popular prop for families taking photos.
Picnic tables also were situated at the parking lots edge for visitors
that wanted to have a bite before entering the theme park. Tram
service was provided to a station stop in the parking lot to link guests
traveling to and from the theme park. These visitors often used
the tram service to the Safari Hospitality Center so that they could
take the tour bus service that took guests that didn't want to drive
their own cars through the Safari.
