News & Notes:  After causing a sensation at Six Flags Great America in 1992, Six Flags and Bolliger & Mabillard teamed up to build the second Batman: The Ride at Great Adventure.   The Movietown section of the park received more improvements and theme elements, including name changes to Splashwater Falls (Movietown Water Effect) and Freefall (Stuntman's Freefall).

Other areas of the park also received theme improvements and upgrades, with the reintroduction of the Swabinchin ride as El Sombrero as part of the inclusion of the ride in the Frontier Adventures section of the park.
