News
& Notes: The 1997 season brought the second
Batman themed coaster to the park, Batman & Robin: The
Chiller. The dueling launched coasters debuted and only
operated for a few day, then remained closed for the rest of the season
due to problems with its LIM propulsion system.
Looping Starship was relocated
to the Boardwalk area, and was renamed Space Shuttle, and the Scrambler
was moved to the Boardwalk, where it re-opened as Centrifuge G-Force.
A new "Sky Coaster" up-charge attraction known as Dare Devil
Dive was added to the park on the former site of Shockwave.
