Fright Fest 2004 was perhaps the most elaborate season of all, featuring more shows and attractions than any other. Every corner of the park featured entertainment of some kind with stages being setup in just about every themed area. The park's president at the time wanted to really take Six Flags Great Adventure to the next level and spent lavishly on the park with the huge investments of the Golden Kingdom and the (at the time just announced) Plaza del Carnaval for 2006. Fright Fest was similarly upgraded with more spending on props and increased budgets for shows and attractions to meet the demands of the popular event.
