& Notes: The
2002
season was the "Summer of Festivals" with the Lakefront area
hosting weekly events featuring the food and music of different countries
and ethnic groups.
The Batman side of The Chiller receives
the retrofit lapbar only trains like the Robin side had received the
previous year.
A Slingshot portable ride was added as
an up-charge attraction and was located in front of the Dino Island
building. This took the place of the Sky
Scraper.
The park introduced Fast Lane, a
virtual queue system which for an additional charge allowed riders to wait
on line for some of the most popular attractions in the park without
having to stand on line.
In November and December, the park
premiered Winter Lights, a drive through light display and and holiday
village which offered shopping, food, and pictures with Santa.
During the off-season the Pirate's
Flight and Evolution rides were removed and relocated to other Six Flags
parks. Pirate's Flight moved to Worlds of Adventure (now
Geauga Lake), and Evolution was relocated to Six Flags Saint Louis where
it became Xcalibur.
